In Alghero there are numerous places of interest to visit, such as:
- Capo Caccia: a stunning cape, about 15 minutes from Alghero. The sunset from the cliffs is beautiful.
- The Grotte di Nettuno: an impressive deep marine cave in the sheer cliffs at Capo Caccia. A popular sightseeing expedition get you there from Alghero, the boat ride takes 45 minutes from the port. At the cave visitors can take a 45 minutes tour entering through the long snaking passage that delves into the rock, where stunning stalagmites and stalactites rise and fall in the cave. The spot can also be reached by bus from the main terminal in Alghero, or by car. Once there you need to climb down 650 steps to the cave entrance.
- Bay of Porto Conte: a sweet bay with sandy beaches lined by Pines
- The prehistoric Nuraghe of Palmavera: Sardinia is rich of archaeological sites, such as Domus de Janas (necropolis) from 3000 b.C.d., and all over there are more than 7000 Nuraghes made by the mysterious Nuragic people who arrived in Sardinia around 1500 BC.
- The world famous vineyards and cellars of the Sella and Mosca, a local wine producer.
